Clio RS 18

Rawlinson Group Renault Sport

Renault Clio RS 18

Based on the RenaultSport Clio 220 Trophy, this hot hatch features a 220bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. Said engine sounds a bit sweeter in the R.S. 18 thanks to an Akrapovič sports exhaust. Modes gives you control over the adjustable dampers and the Trophy’s uprated brakes deliver plenty of stopping power. The overall recipe results in a 0-62mph dash of 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 146mph.

The Clio RS 18 is finished in Deep Black and Liquid Yellow to match the current F1 paint scheme —with contrasting checkered flag graphics to the door and roof. All the Badges have been code coded for that stealth look. Inside there is an Alcantara wheel, the air vents have been trimmed with faux-carbon and each R.S. receives a set of numbered kick plates.

Clio R.S.18 bears the same name as the Renault single-seater that competes in the Grand Prix.

The Clio R.S.18 is inspired by this year’s Renault Sport Racing Formula One Team race car of the same name and has a distinctive black theme with hallmark Renault Sport Liquid Yellow highlights.

Performance and engines

Based on the Clio R.S. 220 Trophy, the Clio R.S.18 Limited Edition benefits from a number of its enhancements including
A more powerful engine
  • More power: 220hp/162kW.
  • A bigger roar: operating range up to 6800rpm.
  • More zip: up to 280Nm torque and temporary torque boost.
A lowered, stronger Trophy chassis
Some 20 mm at the front and 10 mm lower at the rear, the chassis features reinforced shock absorbers coupled to hydraulic compression stops. Then there’s the ultra-direct steering. Even more precise and direct, it’s the best on the market, thanks to a new steering-rack with a ratio reduced by ten percent (from 14.5 / 1 to 13.2 / 1 at the wheel).
An Akrapovic exhaust system

The Clio R.S.18 receives an Akrapovič sports exhaust as standard ensuring a powerful engine sound and improved responsiveness. It has the same engine and transmission as the Clio R.S. 220 Trophy – a 1.6-litre 220hp engine with a six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission.
