The new facelifted model of the MG ZS EV goes on sale in the UK from 1st November 2021. The MG ZS EV first launched two years ago as MG’s first electric vehicle and ever since MG has become a leading electric car manufacturer. The MG ZS EV has been among the top ten best-selling EV vehicles in the UK. The new MG ZS EV will have a second battery option with a 51.1kWh capacity in early 2022. Both battery options will offer more power and greater range. The new SZ EV will be the first model to have new version names. SE will replace Excite as the entry point to the range.
In the new ZS EV, there have been some exterior design changes such as the full LED front lights and signature rear light design, will be familiar from facelifted versions of the petrol MG ZS launched last year. However the new ZS EV has a unique front and rear bumper with improved aerodynamic performance. Furthermore, another new feature is the 17’’ alloy wheels with ‘Propeller’ aero covers for improved efficiency. On the new ZS EV, the charging port is still located at the front of the car. However, it is now more convenient to access via a smaller side opening cover. The charging status is now readily viewed on the four stage indictor LED’s inside the charging port.
The easy to use rotary gear selector and toggle switches for driving modes and regenerative braking are unchanged. However, the piano keys and 10.1’’ tablet screen has been introduced for the new ZS EV. This new MG is the first model to feature the latest infotainment software. An addition to the infotainment software is iSmart. This allows the owner to control various different features and functions from a phone app.
The colour palette has increased with a new addition, Monument Silver. Pimlico Blue has been replaced by Battersea Blue.
